Choose your YES Crew wisely!
Too many opinions can feel like a hen do gone rogue. Bring the ones who get you and your style, not the ones who think you’d look stunning as a human meringue.
Work Out Your Budget.
Talking money is awkward, but falling in love with a gown twice your budget is worse. Set your spending limits (and your fairy godmother’s, if they’re paying) before you try anything on.
Be Open to the Unexpected!
That ballgown you swore you’d never try? Or the sparkly dress you think isn’t you? Give it a whirl! Your stylist knows their stuff, and sometimes the dress you least expect is the one that takes your breath away. Trust the process—you might just surprise yourself!
Do All Shops Sell the Same Dresses?
Nope! Do your homework—shops stock different designers, price ranges, and styles. Find the ones that match your vibe to avoid disappointment.
When Should I Shop?
Shop when you’re ready to order. Dresses can sell out or get discontinued quicker than tickets to Glastonbury. Aim for at least 12 months before your big day to allow time for delivery and alterations.
Underwear? Just the Essentials.
We only need pants to keep things decent. If we’re allowed to be picky, seamless nude ones would be fabulous. Bras are optional—our dresses come with enough magic to hold you in place. Bonus: no one’s judging your mismatched laundry day set.
How Long Is an Appointment?
You get 90 minutes in a private dressing room with a consultant who’s basically a wedding dress wizard. That’s plenty of time to feel like royalty.
Do I Need Hair and Makeup Done?
Not essential, but a touch of glam can set the bridal tone. Plus, it’s easier to imagine walking down the aisle with good hair than with your trusty messy bun.
Payment Plans Are a Thing
Off-the-peg dresses usually need full payment upfront. For made-to-order gowns, it’s often a 50% deposit. Fancy splitting the cost? Many shops (like ours!) offer payment plans.
Don’t Forget to Enjoy It
This is supposed to be fun. Laugh, twirl, and channel your inner Beyoncé. There’s no right or wrong way to feel like a bride.
