Lizzie and Chris Tomkinson’s 2018 wedding was at Castle House, Newcastle under Lyme Register office and the reception was held at the Borough Arms
She paired her amazing dress with Irregular Choice Peach Melba and glittery Kate Spade Keds in the evening for comfort!
The day was captured by one of Lizzie’s oldest friends Katy Jordan who two and a half years earlier took pictures of our daughter when she was 13 days old.
Lizzie loved her dress and Roberta’s Bridal because: “They listened to what I was looking for and when I advised my budget although I saw some gowns I loved, the lady helping me said unless I was willing to push my budget it was best not to try anything on over budget – which I found really respectful.
“We were paying for our wedding ourselves so our budget overall was fixed.
“They found several gowns which were all beautiful and in budget.
“I had said I would like a blush pink or oyster pink dress as it was my second marriage and I wanted something a little different.
“I also wanted sleeves and no lace and had an idea of a ruched bodice.
“When she brought some dresses through we tried one with sleeves and it wasn’t right.
“She said my shoulders were too narrow and I should consider a strapless dress. She held a dress up and said “now, I know the only thing about this dress that you wanted is that colour but I think this is your wedding dress so I think you should try it!”
“I put it on and lo and behold it was absolutely the one! It was pink, but it was strapless and was covered in lace but I felt beautiful in it. These ladies absolutely know their stuff and I’m glad I went.
“I had visited Wed2Be in Manchester with my friend but the experience just wasn’t the same as I had at Roberta’s.”
